Tropic Thunder

I realized I haven't posted a picture from my Portrait Class yet. Here's a picture from my Single Portrait Assignment a la Tropic Thunder ;) Haha!

***note:  Unfortunately, I didn't actually hand this shot in, but it's one of my favourites from the shoot.  I hope the model doesn't kill me for posting this!!!

Do you notice anything different about this picture? No? I'll give you a hint: what creates shadows? 

Yes! It's the SUN!!!! Finally, after months of grey, wet and cold weather. Let's hope it's here to stay :)

Haha, okay, okay, people asked for this photo so I'm posting what would probably be one of the more humiliating pictures of my cat. It's Jasper doing - what I call - the "yoga" pose. It's not the most flattering of poses but seriously, he will sit like this for 5-10 minutes at a time...just sitting, watching and chilling out...with his foot casually behind his head. He makes me feel so out of shape :P

My mom thinks he's letting it *ahem* dry. "It" being the thing that I've kindly censored...no one wants to see that.

Darn it, his paw moved out of the frame! But I still like this photo of him. Look at those green eyes ;) You can't see it in this photo, but he also has a new green collar to match.

Just a little FYI, most of the pictures I've been posting lately on this blog has been from my little P&S (point and shoot) camera. It comes everywhere with me now, since it's quite awkward to be lugging around my usual DSLR and whipping the behemoth out when the moment calls for a photo.

The images taken with my little red camera may not always be the sharpest or clearest, but there's something interesting about images when it's taken at the spur of the moment with no real regard for the technical ju-ju.

Just when I thought you'd left us for good, you came spitting back in all your wet, slushy fury. At least you didn't form 6 ft. snow banks this time.

I didn't get to try this (this one's filled with red bean - there's also a plain one), but I will next time I visit my local Korean supermarket. At only $1? Again, YUM!

I may have overdone the fruit topping. My dessert ended up looking like a 12" UFO where all the fruit decided to have a pool party of whipped cream! Hmm...that doesn't sound too bad actually ;P

When you have no man to celebrate this gooey day with, what better way than to celebrate by making and baking desserts with one of your good friends? We had a blast experimenting with new recipes and photo-documenting everything. Haha! Good times :)

Bad Blogger

Holy cr*p. Has it been forever since I last posted? My bad. And not to mention a huge break in my photo exercise....actually, I have been taking an image a day, but it's not yet materialized on this blog. So I'm half-way there?

***btw, Happy Valentine's Day or S.A.D. (Single Awareness Day - haha *cry* :< ) to those who celebrate the 14th of February. Even though it's one of those commercialized "days", I still hope you're spending it with someone you care about and telling them how much you appreciate and love them <3

I don't think I'd ever like to be this mouse...ever. I can't even find its head. Thank goodness it wasn't real. Phew. Another one meets the trash.

**updated: I found its head on my carpet, half chewed, half missing. All that's left is the furry casing. Ewwww....
