XL Creatures of the Deep

I was shopping with a couple of friends for an upcoming photo shoot when we decided to stop by the local T & T supermarket to pick up some grubbage (yes, I'm just that cool to use that word). That's when we came upon these crustaceans on steroids??? I've never seen crabs or lobsters so HUGE!!! 

I couldn't help feeling sorry for them though.  Poor things. But they sure are neat to look at.

I had a really awesome outdoor shoot this past weekend and I'm still slowly editing down the images! I may post some of those images later on....

There have been a lot of changes this year for me, photography wise. I'm starting to find my voice as an artist and my footing as a photographer; when I get incredible clients who trust what I do, it just makes this whole process worth while. Because when they believe in what I see through my camera and are up for anything, there's going to be lots of laughs and adventures to be had along the way. It's those types of shoots that I love, love, love and the images always turn out fantabulous!!!! :)

Cat Grass

It's growing!! It's ALIVVVEEE!!! But my cat has not taken to it quite yet...hmmm...oh well, I'm just glad something is growing and looking healthy :) 

Mmm, hey Jasper....look at those tasty young grass blades? So tall, fresh and juicy?? Looking really yummy??? Please cat, just chew on this (instead of the other plants)!! ***You better believe I'm pimping out the cat grass...hahahha!!***

Spring Arrival

I should have blogged this, but I can explain the lack of blogging recently. Really! I thought I had lost *gasp* my beloved P&S camera. Granted, it wasn't my trusty work horse DSLRs, but I was so used to grabbing this tiny camera and shooting...whatever! 

After a frantic weekend of searching EVERYWHERE - at one point, I seriously thought Jasper might have dragged my camera somewhere like his toy mice - I was ready to accept the fact that I lost it somewhere. Until today when I sat on the darn thing in bed. GAH! Apparently I had haphazardly tossed my camera onto my *ahem, cough* unmade bed and the camera forever got lost in the folds, WHILE miraculously surviving my sleep time. Heh...heh *shame* :(

Anyways, I finally get to share with everyone (because I'd like to think I have an audience) my first pictures of spring! Sort of. It's actually my attempt at growing some cat grass for the cat to stop him from chewing all my house plants. I think my mom has sadly sent 3 plants to the trash after multiple attempts at revival.

Rainbow Skies

I'm just a sunset kinda gal. Not to say that I don't enjoy the occasional* morning sunrise, but nothing beats a really good sunset - look at those colours! I'm glad spring is on its way so I can enjoy moments like these.

*I say "occasional" because most of the time, I'm still hugging my pillow in bed. Heh!

On a totally unrelated note: I just heard on the news that they found sewing needles in Schneider's deli meats? Whhhatttt.....just another reason why I eat the veggies :)

This weekend, I rocked out a fantabulous fashion shoot with an awesome model and MUA! I'm looking forward to booking shoots for the summer and challenging myself to shoot more fashion/editorial work. It's a whole lot different than shooting documentary, but I'm excited to experiment. Yay!!

Anyways, I'm uber excited to share more images with everyone, so back to editing I go....

Newest Addiction

Meet my new favourite drink :) Besides coffee and passion fruit green tea, this comes in 3rd place. I can't seem to get enough of this stuff, especially when eating anything spicy - and I LOVE all things spicy!! Yum!! Although I have to have everything in moderation. Can you believe this drink alone is about 300 calories? Eep. But my gut is happy though, heh ;P

Baby Isaac

All I have to say about this baby is AYKM!? So cute!!!! I had the pleasure of shooting baby Isaac this weekend and I've never seen a better tempered/good-looking baby - his looks don't fall far from the tree though, his parents are stunning too ;) Isaac was all smiles and giggles the entire shoot and I couldn't have asked for a better model, even when he was staring at his fists (or should I say 'fist'?) A future Bruce Lee in the making? Haha!

Thank you V & K for letting me in your home and photographing your bundle of joy and really, he is a joy in every way. You're very blessed to have such a sweet son, and he's just as lucky to have awesome parents like you :)

If you know Sanrio characters (or Sanrio-like characters), you'll know this little guy. I still can't believe he's made out of only thin strips of paper. Yah, wow.

And notice the awesome "seamless" background for my model? In a pinch, you too can McGuyver it by using bristol board ;) Work it ooouuuuttt!
